💡 Tips before you start

  1. Ensure the service area is free of any excess dirt or dust in order to not cross contaminate parts.
  2. Wash hands with soap and water and/or wear sanitary gloves.
  3. The RO system should be sanitized once a year. We recommend you sanitize the system each time you replace the VOC filter. You should complete the sanitizing process before you replace the VOC filter. Please scroll to the bottom of the page for sanitizing instructions.

Turn off the cold water supply line.

Empty the RO holding tank by opening the RO water faucet.

Once the RO tank is empty remove the filter to be replaced.

Install the new filter, making sure that the filter is fully installed.

Close the RO water faucet.

Open the cold tap water supply line.

CHECK FOR LEAKS!

After the RO holding tank has been completely filled, close the cold water supply.

Flush the filter by opening the RO faucet. Close the faucet once the tank is empty.

Open the cold water supply and refill the RO holding tank.

After replacing the filter(s), press the "Reset" button on the control panel for 3-5 second to automatically reset the filter life.

System maintenance: Sanitizing the RO Holding Tank

Turn off the cold water supply line to the RO system. 
(Figure 1).

Open the RO water faucet, and empty the water out of the RO holding tank. Before proceeding, make sure that the tank is completely empty. Turn off the RO water faucet once tank is completely empty. (Figure 2).

Unscrew the top cap of the TruPure holding tank sanitizer. Note: If the tank is not completely empty, the RO holding tank and sanitizer will spray water when opened since both are pressurized. (Figure 3).

Pour 2 tablespoons of bleach into the tank sanitizer. If there is too much water in the sanitizer to add bleach, pour the water out before adding the bleach. (Figure 4).

Reattach the top cap on the tank sanitizer, make sure that it is on tight. (Figure 5).

Turn on the cold water supply line for the system to fill the RO system Allow 2 hrs. to fill (Figure 6).

Empty and refill RO tank 2 more times. (Figure 7).
