AquaTru’s 4-Stage Purification Technology
Pre/Carbon Filter
In stage 1, the water passes through a mechanical Pre-Filter that removes larger particles like sediment and rust. Next, the Carbon filter removes Chlorine and Chloramines.
R.O. Filter
Our ultra-fine Reverse Osmosis filter filters out dangerous inorganic chemicals, including lead, chromium 6, arsenic, nitrates and lots of other heavy metals.
VOC Carbon Filter
Our activated coconut block Carbon Filter removes (VOCs) Volatile Organic Compounds like rocket fuel, prescription drug residue and PFAS, leaving you with pure, great-tasting water.
Tested & Proven Purity 
Our products have been tested to rigorous NSF/ANSI standards by IAPMO to remove dangerous contaminants. This means our products have been tested by a third party and proven to reduce contaminants for their full filter lives, which range from 300 to 1200 gallons.

AquaTru Countertop Purifier Technology
Patented Ultra Reverse Osmosis® Technology
AquaTru’s revolutionary Ultra Reverse Osmosis® Technology is used in our countertop purifiers and works by recirculating the water and concentrating contaminants in the tap water tank, which means more water filtered and less water wasted.

Water is pumped from the tap tank into the base.

The water first travels through the Pre-filter/Carbon filter to remove sediment & chlorine.

High pressure pushes water into the Reverse Osmosis filter, removes 90%+ of TDS, but the TDS has to be flushed out of the RO filter along with 80% of the water from the Pre-Filter/Carbon Filter. 20% of the water will flow into the VOC filter as TDS-free water.

Water will flow from the VOC filter and into the clean water tank as purified water.

The waste water from the RO filter is high in TDS and Calcium. It is pumped back into the tap tank as hard water, where it will increase the overall hardness of the water in the tap tank.

Under sink reverse osmosis holding tanks can be a breeding ground for bacteria, if not properly maintained. Most people don’t realize they need to sanitize their tank, and the process usually involves tubing and a plastic syringe. No, thanks. That’s why we developed our patent-pending, TruPure RO Sanitizer that makes it easy to keep your AquaTru holding tank in pristine condition. Simply unscrew the TruPure RO Sanitizer, pour in the sanitizing solution, and complete the remaining sanitizing steps only once per year when you change your VOC filter. Just another way AquaTru ensures that you have pure, great-tasting water.
