We’re excited to announce that we are taking our commitment to sustainability and clean water one step further by supporting the Surfrider Foundation, an environmental non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enjoying the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all, through a powerful activist network. We’ll be supporting Surfrider’s mission to protect our coastlines and ocean with a donation to help fortify their much-needed efforts.
Fight Plastic Pollution and Protect Our Ocean with the AquaTru Stainless Steel Water Bottle
From now until the end of 2022, 1% of our net proceeds from AquaTru Stainless Steel Water Bottles sales will be donated to the Surfrider Foundation. This contribution will provide funding for Surfrider campaigns to fight plastic pollution, protect our ocean, ensure fair beach access, preserve our coasts and shorelines, and to protect water quality.
Currently, the Surfrider Foundation is working to ban cigarette butts in Florida, prevent plastics burning in New York and New Jersey, and fund NOAAs budget for 2023—amongst several other impressive campaigns at the federal, state and local level!
To further support the Surfrider Foundation’s efforts, AquaTru will be launching a new color to our line of AquaTru stainless steel water bottles to commemorate our ocean and beautiful coastlines: White Sand.
Not only do our stainless steel bottles provide a sustainable alternative to single-use plastics, but our AquaTru Classic Countertop Purifiers can replace approximately 4,500 single-use, plastic bottles with a single set of filters!
Taking Action at Beach Cleanups
In addition to stopping plastic pollution at its source, AquaTru is taking a hands-on approach to participate with Surfrider’s commitment to protect clean water and healthy beaches. Our staff recently volunteered with our local Surfrider Los Angeles Chapter to tackle the litter in our direct community and to honor Plastic Free July.
